Ramey and Justin had a beautiful, small and intimate wedding with 18 family members at a Tangled Garden in Port George, Nova Scotia. The cottage they were married in was situated in the middle of a field of flowers and was modeled after a chapel.
Thank you for letting me play a small part in your wedding day.

Ben is one of the most beautiful giant shelties I have ever seen! He is full of energy, his coat shimmers, and he loves to play.
Colleen if you find Ben missing, you will know who has him… ME! (just kidding)

Ashley is very near and dear to Cheryl’s heart. She is a beautiful golden retriever who loves to swim, eat cookies, feel the grass between her toes, and run in the opposite direction from the car. This beautiful older girl is Cheryl’s friend. During their session, one was never far from the other.
Ashley is older now, and has a few health issues and it was more important than ever to capture some memories of her while she still has lots of energy and mobility. I was honored to help.

We had so much fun chasing 4.5 year old Colton and his dog Jake around Cleveland Beach on Monday night! We played tug of war with the leash, threw stones in the water, counted fish in a pond, and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the beach!

Jeff will soon be finishing his engineering degree, and will become a professional engineer like his dad. This lovely evening in the country was just the thing to do before Jeff moves away from home.

This is my fifth session with Veronica and Nigel, and I have to say one of the cutest! We first met for their engagement photos in 2010, and then again later that year for a boudoir session and then their wedding. This year, I had the pleasure of continuing to capture their family story when Veronica called me to say that she was pregnant. I met Landon while he was still in him mommy’s tummy.
Veronica tells me that it is a Chinese tradition to celebrate the one month anniversary of their baby boy, so we got together on his milestone day.

I had a wonderful evening with Bev and Dave last night at Peggy’s Cove. Instead of heading strait for the lighthouse we went trekking around and found a place that we had all to ourselves. Here’s to great people, a great location, and great colours!

Both of my cats are rescue cats, and I know that one of them must have had a pretty rough time when she was young. By the time I adopted her from the SPCA she was healthy and happy, but I think she used to dumpster dive for food. To this day, she will not eat “people food”, and I think it is because she once ate something that made her sick.
In the words of the SPCA: Not every home is a forever home. I’m sure glad that my furry babies won’t ever have to face that again!
It was my pleasure to help the Nova Scotia SPCA again with their spring campaign.
