For a couple who recently moved from Alberta to Halifax, their maternity photo shoot at the beach was a celebration of new beginnings. As the waves lapped gently at the shore, they stood hand in hand, full of the excitement and anticipation of welcoming their first child. On the day of their pregnancy photography session, the sky was dark and rainy in many parts of the city, but we were lucky that it let up just as we needed to make decisions about weather or not to proceed with the session. It even sprinkled on the way down to the beach, but I was cautiously optimistic. The most amazing thing happened… we were right at the edge of a raincloud, and had a beautiful rainbow right over the beach, with clear blue skies behind it. The sky didn’t look real.
