Did you know that not all babies like cake? Sometimes the icing is to sweet, or the texture just weirds them out. It gets on everything including their hair and their clothes, and some of the bright icing colours don’t wash out. Although I do love a good cake smash, I also love the simplicity and beauty of a 1st birthday photo session without all the goop!
I love capturing all of their happy expressions, and the images can be just as cute. We get to focus on what makes your growing baby unique. Maybe she’s walking while holding on to furniture, or she has a big grin that crinkles her nose and melts your heart. Whatever it is that you want to highlight, cake is totally optional.
