THE
How it works
1.
Let's Chat
Our time together begins with a relaxed 15-minute phone call so I can get to know you, hear what matters most, and answer your questions. From that first conversation, my focus is on understanding your family’s unique bond and your vision for this experience. Together, we’ll shape ideas that feel honest and meaningful—capturing moments that become lasting artwork in your home.
2.
Your Session
Your session is all about celebrating your family’s unique connection in a relaxed, fun-filled way. You don’t need to know how to pose—I’ll guide you through everything with over 20 years of experience photographing real people just like you. For moms, the Client Closet makes wardrobe planning effortless, and I’ll help coordinate looks for the whole family.
3.
The Big Reveal
Your reveal and ordering appointment is a special experience—an opportunity to slow down and soak in the love captured in your portraits. You’ll see your images for the first time on a large projection screen, creating a movie-like moment with your family as the star. You’ll explore sample products and envision how your memories can live on—framed on your walls, in albums, or as meaningful gifts.
FAQ
Families should book 1-2 months in advance and maternity and newborn clients should book in the 2nd trimester in order to avoid disappointment and hassle later.
Booking is as simple as filling out an agreement online, and then I’ll invoice you for the $300 retainer fee. Once the agreement and payment are submitted your date is booked. I also recommend a pre-session chat (in person or by phone) to go over all the details and what to wear.
Your images will be lightly retouched and ready for your private screening in about 10-14 days. Once you decide which images to order, I will meticulously retouch and deliver within about 2 weeks. Product delivery varies depending on the product.
You don’t have to prep your children to “smile” or “listen to the photographer”. I’m pretty silly and really good at judging a situation. If we have an off day or poor weather, we can always try again another day.
Good news: If you order wall art, I will deliver and install it for you! If you are going the DIY route, choosing a hanging space under softer artificial light or bounce light, out of the direct rays of the sun.
