Suzanne and Tony’s families met for the first time on their wedding day. It was actually what she was most excited about (besides making it official). They have been together for years, but geography has always made an in-person meeting of their families diffacult. It is clear that they are both a big part of each other’s families. Tony’s parents brought back a delicate little Belgin lace butterfly for Suzanne from a recent trip. They knew how much she loved them.
As the story goes, when Suzanne was a teen going to a formal dance, her mother handmade her a beautiful gown covered in tiny glass beeds. They formed a glittering butterfly that took hours to sew onto the dress, one by one. It was perfect, totally one of a kind, and made Suzanne feel beautiful. Ever since, butterflies have held a special place in both of their hearts. Suzanne almost had her mother in tears in the morning before the ceremony with the gift of a Monarch Butterfly enameled pin.
Butterflies were hidden everywhere throughout Suzanne and Tony’s wedding; a perfect surprize for the happy couple.
