Baby, you’re cute… or Sam’s 1 year photo session

It’s a good thing that apples really fit the fall photo session theme, because baby Samuel (or to me: Sammy), loved them! We laughed the whole time as he dragged his all around during his one year photo session, steadily roughing it up as time wore on. It was snuggled close, waived around in grand motions of happiness, fallen on, rolled around like a rubber ball, dropped in the dirt, brushed off and picked back up, and even munched on occasionally.

This special little man, with dark chocolaty eyes, is his mama’s world. Marie wasn’t sure if she wanted to be in very many of the photos with Sammy, but some of my most favourite images are of the two of them together. We got lots of cute frames of her baby, but I wanted to focus on these for this post. I could tell Marie is an amazing mother; her bond with her son is strong. She will teach him to be a good person, and she will shape who he will grow up to be. These photos of them together are going to be precious cargo when he looks back and sees how much his mother loved him… and this beautiful woman will be instantly transported back to her memories of him as he is now, even when he is all grown up.

Thank you so much Rebecca for the unforgettable moments I shared with my little boy capturing these pics. And thank you for your beautiful words. I cannot say enough how I LOVE these pics. You are an amazing artist and I hope you’ll capture many more sessions with my Sam in the future. You totally captured his fun-loving side but also his thoughtful curious and active side. I recognize him in every shot. Again, thank you, a thousand times thank you.
