A bicycle built for two | Wedding photography Halifax

Andrea and Robert have such a way with one another. Just the threat of tickling from Robert sets her off in a fit of giggles. The whole session was filled with laughter and snuggles, and it was wonderful to witness.

They had been planning their engagement session to coincide with a trip to visit family in Nova Scotia. A bunch of her family were coming together at the cottage, so timing their engagement session at the beginning of their trip was important and not without challenges. The day before the session (as they were going to the airport), Andrea found out that the tandem bike they had reserved for the shoot was damaged over the weekend, and would not be repaired in time. Fortunately Halifax is a tight knit community and the rental place recommended another shop that neither her nor I knew did rentals. They saved the day with a super cool navy blue vintage tandem bike. Our second scare came on the morning of the session when thunder and lightning rolled in. I was almost sure that we were going to have to cancel, but we made plans for a wet session without the bike if it came to that. Fortunately, we landed right in a lull in the weather and everything was perfect. Just when we were finishing up, the thunder returned.
