Brandon and Ryan hatched a plan while everyone was together during the Holidays… an extended family photography session. Ryan and his wife Jennifer with their daughter Havana live in Alberta, so family time isn’t everyday for them and the rest of the Silver family. It has to be scheduled and planned for, and so it’s all the more precious when it does happen.
When Brandon first got in touch with me, he asked about doing a studio session. We went back and forth about clothing choices and background colours, but there was a general feeling of wanting something more. More creative, more unique, and yet something meaningful. In the winter months in Halifax, photography outdoors becomes a much bigger challenge, so the options are more limited. Through conversation we decided to change the location to the Keithe’s Brewery Market, and finally, it felt right. As it turns out, I didn’t know just how right on it was, because Michael (Brandon and Ryan’s father) used to work at Oland’s Brewery, and being at the Brewery Market was nostalgic for him.
This is kind of a neat time for the Silver’s… Brandon and Elena are expecting a baby very soon, Havana is growing and changing so fast, and Marion and Michael are enjoying retirement and grand babies. It was an honour to capture some beautiful memories for them.
