Kimberly and Paul and their kids just moved to Nova Scotia from Newfoundland and Labrador, and although they have many friends and family remaining there, they are ready for this next exciting chapter in their lives. A photography session seemed like the perfect way to keep in touch, and show their loved ones back home what their new home is like.
The back yard was filled with fall colour, and Kimberly has always wanted to do a session in the bright colours of autumn. The kids kicked around a ball as we got setup to start photographing, and their energetic Husky/Sheppard mix was as excited as they were. He was super talkative, and one of those dogs that loved to be right in the middle of things. Our plan was to have some treats to get his attention, and then photograph a couple of quick images of the whole family, before tucking him away in the house where there was less excitement happening. The plan was perfect, and you would never know that he was a high energy pooch. It was so wonderful including him.
