The Centre for Women in Business helps women business owners succeed in business. Myself included! They provide advise, information, business management skills training, and networking opportunities.
The Centre recently hosted their annual Premier networking event at MacInnes Copper’s Halifax branch. We all had the pleasure of listening to Cheryl Hodder Q.C, Regional manager of McInnes Cooper’s Halifax Office speak to us about how to create a climate of success for your business. What a great presentation, and a great evening of networking and entertainment!

This will be the fourth time I’ve photographed Phoenix Youth’s annual fund raising gala event, and this year certainly wasn’t a disappointment! We were transported to another era for a glamorous, fun-filled evening held in support of Phoenix. I it was a true pleasure to donate my services again this year.
To learn more about Phoenix and how you can help at-risk and homeless youth in our community, please visit the Phoenix website.

We’ve done a lot of work over the years with Phoenix Youth Programs. They have nine programs and services for at-risk and homeless youth between the ages of 12 – 24. Phoenix provides an innovative continuum of care from prevention to follow-up.
This year we had the pleasure of donating photography services again for their annual fund raising gala: Celebrity Dreamscape. My favorite part of the evening was the live auction. Stewart McLean of CBC’s Vinyl Cafe hosted and even auctioned off tickets to his show and a promise to cook a turkey dinner at the winning bidders home. Three separate bidders took him up on it!
Lots of fun was had by all, and everyone was very generous for a great cause!
