Children and Families Information

A boy and his dog Children are one of a kind, wonderful, bright, active, and beaming. My photo sessions with children are designed to capture all of their energy and allow it to flow forth naturally. Our time together is free-form and relaxed, and on location wherever your family likes to hang out: your home, your favourite beach, a nearby park, in a field, or any locale that inspires closeness and fun. The most natural moments always happen when everyone is at ease. (Hint: we don’t stage it!)

And to remember that day? Creating designer pieces that capture who your family is and has been is one of the most rewarding parts of my work with you.

When photographing children, it’s all about finding the magic in ordinary moments, having fun, and moving around a lot. We take breaks whenever needed, for hugs, snacks, and/or silly time.

One of my favorite ways to photograph young children is to have their parents follow them around. I get great stuff when tots are on the go, and when they pause for a breather or to point out something incredible, parents are close by to snuggle them up (which makes for even more great images).

Keep your favorite people close at hand with these collections of mounted and coated 8”x12” prints, available in sets of three or six images. Select a different image to showcase each day. Protected with a UV coating and presented on an attractive wrought iron display easel. An ideal accessory for Dad’s desk, built-in shelves, or any other nook where your favorite keepsakes are housed.

Teens are invited and encouraged to bring props and personal items that showcase their special interests, hobbies, and uniqueness. Brightly coloured accessories, sporting equipment, or a stack of favorite books or glossy magazines translate well through the lens.
