From a very early age I have been fascinated about photography. My grandmother used to tell stories about how when I was very small I would beg for her camera. We’d go out in her garden alternately holding hands and snapping pictures of her flowers. Of course at that age I’m sure there were as many photos of little toes as there were plants.

Throughout the years I became more and more interested in the artistry of photography. This led me to taking a black and white darkroom course in high school, and from then on I was hooked. After graduating, I jumped into the photography world with both feet and enrolled in Holland College Photography and joined the Professional Photographers of Canada.

My passion for the art stems from the realization that our time on this world is precious, and what truly makes it memorable is our love for one another. I feel honoured to play a small part in helping my clients relive the special times in their lives. With my modern and relaxed approach to photography I capture the thoughts and feelings of the moment and turn it into artwork. There’s just something about beautiful lighting and an artistic eye that enhances the genuine and authentic qualities of a photograph.

Rebecca’s portrait and fine art photography has been accepted into the exclusive Professional Photographers of Canada Atlantic Image Salon. In 2003 she received the highest honours of Excellence and Merit in the PPOC Atlantic Print Competition, and in 2009 and again in 2010 she won first place at the PPOC Atlantic Shootout Competition.
