There is no question that portrait and wedding photographer’s winter months are slower photographically speaking, and are mostly spent on exciting administrative stuff like bookkeeping, business planning, and other dreary tasks that do not involve a camera. Whoo-hoo! So by February I was craving long summer days with beautiful sunsets and the rewarding feeling of making someone feel fabulous with photography.
Chloe to the rescue! She is a total superstar… we even went outside in FEBRUARY during her rock the dress session for some pictures.
This year was our first year exhibiting as a Halifax wedding photographer at the Atlantic Wedding Showcase. We had so much fun listening to the excitement of all of the brides as they talked about the details of their big day!
After Bev and Dave’s engagement session, I couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding! They even surprised me with a vintage car. What a great day!

Ramey and Justin had a beautiful, small and intimate wedding with 18 family members at a Tangled Garden in Port George, Nova Scotia. The cottage they were married in was situated in the middle of a field of flowers and was modeled after a chapel.

Melissa is a friend of mine, and when I asked her to come out with me and a colleague for a “photographer’s jam session” she was all over it.
Her and Jason met at message therapy school, and have been in love ever since.

I had a wonderful evening with Bev and Dave last night at Peggy’s Cove. Instead of heading strait for the lighthouse we went trekking around and found a place that we had all to ourselves. Here’s to great people, a great location, and great colours!

I am lucky to play a small role in a lot of weddings every year as a photographer. This summer my husband’s brother is getting married, and I’m so excited to be photographing their wedding! I get to share in the excitement of the planning with my brother in law and his fiance, and I get to be a guest at the wedding… when I’m not capturing images *lol*
They traveled to Halifax from Moncton this weekend for their engagement session.
