Nathan loves watching Scooby Doo and jumping up and down, but when I asked him to go over and give his mom a hug, magic happened!
Thanks to Ouna and Nathan for a wonderful day!

… and here is Nathan being his regular old self. I love it!

It was such a pleasure photographing Dixie and Shane’s girls.
Ashlynn brought out all of her favourite toys and she was so playful. One of my favourite moments was when she looked down to read me a story.
Hayden had the most amazing baby blues, and she loved to cuddle.
What a great session!

It is such a joy to meet a couple on one of the happiest days of their life, their wedding day, and then follow their journey through life. This is exactly what happened with Suzie and Andrew. We had the pleasure of meeting them back in 2006 when they were married and I was honored to capture their growing family this year.
Below is a sneak peek of their custom designed waterproof album.
I am so glad to have met Ruth at Pet Value this year when I was the photography sponsor during the SPCA Santa Pix fund raiser. Ruth, Ian, Jayne, Luke, and their dog Jessie were fabulous at the session and we had lots of fun.
One of my favorite moments was when they were walking together over a bridge and just being themselves. Ruth and Jayne smiled like they have done 100 times before, Luke walked confidently with the group, and Ian and Jessie look happy to be in the middle of it all.
What a great day.

It was really fun to sponsor the SPCA Santa Pix again this year. Photographing pets is a lot like photographing children. Sometimes with shy ones you have to go slow, and sometimes with excited ones you have to let them burn off some energy before you start taking pictures. Either way, I love winding them up and then sending them home
Check out our team at the Santa Pix at Pet Value on Larry Utek Boulevard below. Thanks to CBC and Colleen Jones for stopping by!
Last year we photographed over 80 dogs, cats, and bunny rabbits in three hours at the Sunny Side Mall in support of the Metro SPCA Santa Pics fund raiser. After a lot of silly noises, stomping of feet, and squeezing of squeaky toys, I am ready to do it all over again this year! It is so much fun being a Halifax pet photographer for the day and getting to visit with everyone and their furry babies.
This year I will be at the following locations:
Bark and Fitz - Monday, November 28th from 6-9pm
5431 Doyle Street, Unit 104
World Wide Furniture – Thursday, December 1st from 6-9pm
3377 Kempt Road
Pet Value – Sunday, December 4th from 1-4pm
75 Peakview Way (Larry Utek)
ATTENTION PHOTOGRAPHERS: If you are interested in helping out and meeting lots of new people, please check out the sign up sheet here. There are still a few spots available!
Here are a few images from last year.

It was such a pleasure hanging out with Chelsea and Katie. We got together because they are both graduating university and soon Katie will be going abroad for a year. It was really cool to watch their transformation from quiet and everyday to super star!

It was a pleasure to see Suzanne and Andrew again after photographing their wedding a few years ago, and to meet the new additions to their family: Gavin and Ethan.

Nadine and Byron told me during our session about how cute “scrunchy nose” is, and we were not disappointed. Julia is a very happy, very cute baby!
