Andrea & Robert’s wedding was a small and intimate affair, which made it extra special to be invited to witness and record. Not including the bride and groom, there were 10 family members present to share the emotional day with them. These people are all very special to the happy couple, and it was so wonderful to get to know them.
The whole family is musical. Andrea and Robert are pianists, Andrea’s mother Sheila plays piano, and both Robert’s sister Laura and his father Igor play violin. One of the highlights of the wedding ceremony (at Manning Memorial Chapel, Acadia University) was when Laura played a beautiful piece that had a lot of us tearing up. It was haunting, filled with feeling, and a gift to listen to, especially with the acoustics of the chapel.
The super secret surprise at the end of the night was a fireworks show, set off by Andrea and Robert themselves, with an old fashioned dynamite plunger box. Of course, the excuse was that they needed just one more group photo outdoors on the patio… and we were happy to help with the ruse, because it sure was worth it!
